We designed this Tanzania Safari Tours: Ultimate Northern Circuit Package for a couple celebrating the husband’s 60th birthday. They wanted to see the highlights of Tanzania while staying in unique, luxurious accommodations. This trip gave them the best of nature, wildlife, and incredible luxury.
They started their tour at Legendary Serengeti Mobile Camp to see the Great Migration. This camp moves locations throughout the year to follow the migration of millions of wildebeest and other grazers across the vast plains of the Serengeti. All their game drives at this camp were conducted in a private vehicle with their own guide and tracker, giving them the utmost freedom to explore the area as they pleased and catch amazing, exclusive wildlife sightings. Then they transferred to beautiful Mwiba Lodge on the outskirts of the Serengeti for 2 nights.
Continuing their Tanzania Safari Tours: Ultimate Northern Circuit Package, they flew to the Ngorongoro Crater to stay at the gorgeous Gibb’s Farm. This unique lodge is nestled among 10 acres of working farmland and is famous for its farm-to-fork cuisine. They took an incredible guided hike to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where they were treated to postcard-worthy views of the crater below.
Next, they traveled to a private reserve near Tarangire National Park for 2 nights at Little Chem Chem, a boutique tented camp where giraffes and other wildlife are known to stroll through the property. They had game drives in Tarangire and in a large private reserve shared between just 10 guests, which made for an exclusive and intimate safari experience. The last stop on their Tanzania Safari Tours: Ultimate Northern Circuit Package was Chem Chem Lodge at Lake Manyara. Here, they enjoyed authentic Maasai cultural interactions, walking safaris, and sundowners overlooking the pristine lake.
At last, it was time to say goodbye to Tanzania and begin their journey home. We arranged a day room at Legendary Lodge in Arusha so they could relax and enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to the airport for their journey back home.

Day 1
Welcome to Tanzania! Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport and enjoy a road transfer to Legendary Lodge, a beautiful property set in lush tropical gardens on a working coffee farm just outside Arusha. Your Great Migration safari begins! Fly into Serengeti National Park and enjoy a game drive en route to Legendary Serengeti Camp, a fabulous mobile camp that moves locations throughout the year to follow the migration. Legendary Serengeti is broken up into 2 camps, each with its own lounge and dining area, ensuring the utmost privacy. Your luxury tented suite is a comfortable haven where you’ll feel immersed in the magic of the Serengeti.

Day 3 – 4
Spend the next 2 days on a premier Great Migration safari at Legendary Serengeti Camp, where you’ll have a private vehicle, guide, and tracker for all of your game drives. The Great Migration attracts lions, cheetahs, and other predators, making for a thrilling day on safari. If you’d like to change it up a bit, you can opt for an intimate walking safari where your expert guide will reveal the hidden secrets of the bush, or take a visit to a local village. Hot air balloon safaris are also available at an additional cost. In the evenings, enjoy a private sundowner setup in a scenic location with no one else in sight and watch as the sun sets over the endless plains.

Day 5 – 6
Explore the pristine, private wilderness of Mwiba Wilderness Reserve during your next 2 nights in Mwiba Lodge’s tented suites. This private reserve borders the Serengeti, offering the same fabulous wildlife viewing with more exclusivity. Look out over the beautiful wilderness of the reserve from the comfort of your private deck or free-standing tub. Enjoy big game safaris, diverse activities, and dancing with local tribe members.

Day 7 – 8
This leg of your journey brings you to the unique beauty of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Spend the next 2 days in a luxurious lodge located amidst 10 acres of serene farmland. Discover amazing views while enjoying exquisite lunches from farm to fork. Enjoy luxurious accommodations featuring your very own fireplace, lounge, and both indoor and outdoor showers. Soak up your magnificent surroundings on a hike to the crater rim or discover the ins and outs of work on the farm.

Day 9 – 10
Continue your Tanzania safari adventure with a road transfer to Little Chem Chem—a fabulous boutique camp in the heart of pristine wilderness. Experience the raw drama of the East African bush in a very private setting. This gem, on a 16,000-hectare exclusive concession, adjoins the Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobabs, and overlooks the serene Lake Burunge. The large amount of land shared between just 10 guests at a time ensures your safari experience is intimate and authentic.

Day 11 – 12
Transfer to neighboring Chem Chem Lodge, a more permanent lodge on the eastern edge of Lake Manyara. Here, it’s all about the “slow safari”—not simply checking animals off your list, but getting out of the vehicle to experience the wilderness intimately, or relaxing at the lodge and watching the wildlife come meandering by. In addition to game drives and walking safaris, you can enjoy authentic cultural interactions with Maasai warriors, visit a local school, and enjoy beautiful sundowners on the banks of Lake Manyara.

Day 13
Your incredible Tanzania safari adventure comes to an end today. Enjoy a road transfer back to Legendary Lodge, where you’ll have use of a day room. Time permitting, you can tour the coffee farm on horseback, or simply relax and enjoy the serene setting before transferring to the airport for your flight back home.
