Trip to Maldives: Overwater Villa Vacation

Enjoy a week in paradise at Six Senses Laamu on one of the best islands in the Maldives! The Sunset Laamu Water Villa with Pool offers plenty of ways to soak up the gorgeous ocean views, including an aquarium dining deck, overwater hammock, and rooftop terrace.

We created this Trip to Maldives: Overwater Villa Vacation for a honeymoon couple from Utah. They had been dreaming of an overwater villa for many years and decided to splurge for their special trip. We sent them to Six Senses Laamu, an incredible luxury resort located on its own atoll in the Maldives.

During their Trip to Maldives: Overwater Villa Vacation, they spent 7 nights in a Lagoon Water Villa raised on stilts over the warm, sparkling blue waters of the Indian Ocean. With direct access to the sea, they were able to jump in for a swim whenever they pleased!

Their water villa at Six Senses Laamu had so many wonderful ways to enjoy the sunshine and the ocean views. They had an overwater hammock that was ideal for sunbathing; a sunken glass bathtub; an aquarium dining deck perfectly poised to catch the sunset; and a comfortable rooftop deck for panoramic ocean views. It was exactly the luxurious retreat they were hoping for!

There was plenty to keep our honeymoon couple busy on their Trip to Maldives: Overwater Villa Vacation. One of their favorite places to lounge at the resort was the gorgeous swimming pool, enjoying cool drinks and casual bar bites from Sip Sip restaurant. They were free to enjoy diving, snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, and stand up paddling at their leisure; the beautiful lagoon, with cerulean waters that rival those of Bora Bora, made the perfect marine playground! They also enjoyed a sunset dolphin cruise and a private dinner on the beach, which we arranged as a special surprise.

After a week of pampering, relaxation, and sunshine, their Trip to Maldives: Overwater Villa Vacation came to an end. They said goodbye to the beautiful Six Senses Laamu resort and enjoyed a speedboat transfer and short flight back to the airport, where they began their journey home.
