We created the Luxury African Safari package for a couple of nature lovers celebrating their 10-year wedding anniversary. They wanted to see the best of African wildlife while still pampering themselves at the top luxury lodges. This trip is perfect for anyone who wants to be fully immersed in nature while still traveling in style. It’s a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The couple started off their Luxury African Safari trip with three nights at Atzaro Okavango, a premier safari destination that offers sustainable luxury in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. They were able to explore the area on game drives during the day and relax at night in their open-air lounge overlooking the African bush.
Next, it was on to their nextstop on the Luxury African Safari tour, Thorntree River Lodge, showcasing incredible river panoramas from its unique vantage, the shared areas are fluid hubs of relaxation; the lounge flows seamlessly into the dining area. This lodge allows access to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, The couple took a bungee jump off the Falls, shopped at the nearby Maramba market, and finally capped off their amazing adventure with a romantic dinner for two on a sampan floating on the Zambezi River.
On their last stop, they flew to the Lower Zambezi National Park. Set on five hectares of protected wilderness, Lolabezi Lodge has been designed to make the most of the private river frontage. The couple enjoyed waking up with the majestic Zambezi River flowing just in front of your room. They continued their African adventure with game drives, bush walks, and a cruise on the lagoon to see the resident hippos up close. They enjoyed the privacy and relaxation of this exclusive camp, which only includes four luxury tents in order to put guests in touch with their beautiful surroundings.
And then their Luxury African Safari Tour came to end, they transferred back to the Livingstone airport to start their journey home.

Day 1
Welcome to Johannesburg! You’ll be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection, and customs. Then you’ll be shown to your flight to your wonderful accommodations at Atzaro Okavango Camp. Surrounded by lush palm islands and vibrant delta vegetation, our eco-friendly oasis is nestled within the breath-taking landscape of this World Heritage wilderness. At Atzaro Okavango Camp, we provide an unparalleled combination of “savanna meets delta” adventures and unforgettable wildlife encounters, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of the Okavango Delta. The next 2 days are yours for the taking! Choose from a plethora of activities including game drives, photography safaris, and scenic helicopter flights.

After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a light aircraft flight transfer to Kasane Airport. Upon your arrival, your driver will collect you and your things and transfer you to your accommodations at the luxurious Thorntree River Lodge. Among the Zambia safari lodges, Thorntree River Lodge blends a tranquil riverside setting with an eco-conscious approach. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of local African culture accented by contemporary influences, your experience at the lodge in Livingstone, Zambia, is elevated by African Bush Camps’ mindful ethos.

Day 5 – 6
Spend the next 2 days discovering the natural treasures of the area. The lodge offers daily excursions to the Zambian side (and Zimbabwean side – in the dry season) of The Victoria Falls, private river cruises, cultural visits, fishing expeditions, canoeing, rhino tracking and game drives, all included in your stay. Additionally, you can book external activities such as guided rainforest walks, bungee jumping and helicopter flips over ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ on your behalf.

Day 7
After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a light aircraft flight transfer from the lodge to Jeki airstrip, where your luxury tent accommodations await at Lolebezi Camp. Located in the breathtaking, untouched wilds of the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia, Lolebezi is one of the most spectacular lodges in the park. Set on five hectares of protected wilderness, the lodge has been designed to make the most of the one km of private river frontage. Waking up with the majestic Zambezi River flowing just in front of your room is a truly exceptional experience!

Days 8 – 9
Spend the next 2 days at your leisure. Activities include game drives, walking safaris, river cruises, and fishing. If you are looking for relaxation, there is an on-site spa with qualified treatment specialists and a yoga deck.

After a scrumptious breakfast, your safari adventure comes to an end. Your driver will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to Livingstone Airport, where you’ll make your connecting flight to Johannesburg and begin your journey home.
