Tanzania Highlights: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti Safari

This luxury safari takes you to Tanzania greatest safari highlights: huge herds of tusker elephants in Tarangire National Park, beautiful Gibb’s Farm in Ngorongoro Crater, and a Great Migration safari in the Serengeti! Enjoy some of Tanzania’s most exclusive wildlife viewing at luxury safari lodges throughout.

We designed this Tanzania Highlights: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti Safari for a group of friends from New York City. They wanted to see the Great Migration, and they had seen Gibb’s Farm on Condé Nast Traveller’s “Best Hotels in the World” list, but the rest of their trip was up in the air. After we talked to the clients and discovered they all loved elephants, we also added Tarangire National Park, which is home to herds of elephants that can number in the hundreds!

First, they had a night at a gorgeous coffee lodge to relax after their journey. The next day, they were off to Little Chem Chem, a fabulous boutique camp in Tarangire National Park. With just 10 guests sharing a 16,000-hectare exclusive concession, Little Chem Chem offers an amazingly exclusive safari experience. The highlight was coming across some of the area’s large tusker elephants on a walking safari.

Next for their Tanzania Highlights: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti Safari, we sent them to Gibb’s Farm. Located near Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, this gorgeous lodge in coffee country is among the world’s most renowned hotels. During their 2-night stay, they took game drives into Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Then it was time to witness the Great Migration in the Serengeti! They stayed at Singita Faru Faru Lodge for 3 nights and had exclusive access to the Great Migration—one of the most famous spectacles in the world. Their luxurious lodge was the perfect place to relax in between safari activities. When it was time to say goodbye, they didn’t want to leave!

The last stop on their Tanzania Highlights: Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti Safari was back to Arusha. They enjoyed a special lunch experience at Shanga, which provides full-time employment for locals with disabilities through unique glasswork and beadwork. After lunch, they had time to tour the workshop before heading to the airport for their journey back home.
