Luxe Tents and Treehouses: Tanzania Safari Anniversary Vacation

Enjoy a seamless journey between Tanzania’s top safari highlights: Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. Stay in unique lodges, from old-world coffee estates to romantic tented camps, and discover the safari adventure of a lifetime! Flights within Tanzania are included in this trip.

We designed this Luxe Tents and Treehouses: Tanzania Safari Anniversary Vacation for a couple from Columbus, Ohio. They had never been on safari before, so they wanted to see it all—and we wanted to make sure they were completely pampered on this once-in-a-lifetime vacation!

First, they had a day to relax after their long flight to Africa. They spent 1 night on a beautiful coffee estate near Arusha airport, where they had time for a plantation tour and al fresco lunch before they were off to start their safari!

They flew to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its enormous herds of elephants often numbering in the hundreds. They had their first incredible game drive on the way to Tarangire Treetops, a gorgeous luxury lodge built around a thousand-year-old baobab tree. They stayed in a magical treehouse with beautiful views of the wilderness. During their stay, they enjoyed safari game drives, a visit to a local Maasai village, and romantic sundowner cocktails.

Continuing their Luxe Tents and Treehouses: Tanzania Safari Anniversary Vacation, they flew to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. They spent 2 nights at an elegant, Dutch colonial manor surrounded by lush gardens and coffee plantations. They spent a day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater and the abundant wildlife within, and had the rest of the time free to relax and indulge in the lodge’s luxurious amenities.

Their last stop was the Serengeti—Tanzania’s most famous safari park, home to the Great Migration of wildebeest and other grazers across the vast African plains. They stayed in a gorgeous tented camp that offered a perfect blend of adventure and luxury. They had a full day to witness the Great Migration, as well as the other abundant wildlife that call the Serengeti home year-round. Lunch was a delightful picnic set-up in the bush, complete with bubbles.

At last, their Luxe Tents and Treehouses: Tanzania Safari Anniversary Vacation came to an end. They rose early their last morning to catch a spectacular Serengeti sunrise. After lunch, they flew back to Arusha to catch their connecting flight back home.
