We designed this South Africa: Luxury Safari and Cape Town Package for an anniversary couple from Houston. For this special trip, they wanted a high-end South Africa experience with an all inclusive safari lodge and private touring in Cape Town. We sent them to Dulini Leadwood, an ultra-luxurious and exclusive lodge in the renowned Sabi Sands reserve.
They started their South Africa: Luxury Safari and Cape Town Package in beautiful and cosmopolitan Cape Town. They stayed at the fabulous Dock House Hotel & Spa, ideally located on the fashionable V&A Waterfront. The next day, they had a private tour of Cape Town and surrounds, where they had a tailor-made itinerary just for them. They saw penguins at Boulders Beach, saw the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and went mountain biking on Table Mountain. They also had a private wine tasting tour in the Cape Winelands, visiting 3 famed wine estates in South Africa’s culinary hub.
Next for their South Africa: Luxury Safari and Cape Town Package, they flew to the famed Sabi Sands region of Kruger National Park. They had an incredible experience at Dulini Leadwood, one of South Africa’s top luxury lodges. Leadwood features just 4 luxurious, modern, and spacious suites, each with its own private verandah and plunge pool. Game drives are led by expert trackers and guides, who truly bring the drama of the African bush to life as they track down wildlife like lions, elephants, and Sabi Sands’ abundant leopards.
They had 4 magical nights at Dulini and saw all of the Big 5! They also enjoyed a walking safari to get a more intimate safari experience and learn about the smaller animals of the savannah. They were treated to delectable cuisine and premium drinks, all included in their room rate, and the staff made them feel right at home. They were certainly sad to say goodbye!

Welcome to Cape Town! You will be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board and assisted through immigration, baggage collection, and customs. You will then be shown to your private transfer vehicle and whisked away to the Dock House. Sophisticated and intimate, the boutique Dock House Hotel & Spa is located in a prime position on Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront. Enjoy a delicious dinner tonight on the quayside terrace or walk along the fashionable waterfront.

Today, you will have a private tour of Cape Town and surrounds. Enjoy a tailor-made itinerary just for you to explore the crown jewel of South Africa. Want to see penguins on the beach? Take a stand-up paddle board into the bay? Hike up Table Mountain? All of this and more is at your fingertips! Your private guide will provide fascinating insight into whatever areas of Cape Town interest you most.

Day 3
Enjoy another private tour today, this time in the delightful Cape Winelands! Drive through superb mountain ranges, vineyards, and Cape Dutch homesteads. Stop in Stellenbosch for your first tasting, then walk down the canal-lined avenues in the shade of giant oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings. Your next stop is Franschhoek, the culinary capital of South Africa, where you’ll enjoy more tastings and a delicious lunch. Finally, stop in beautiful Paarl to visit the last wine estate of the day. Return to the city in time to take a leisurely stroll before dinner.

Day 4
Your last day in Cape Town is yours to spend at your leisure. Vibrant neighborhoods, world-class dining and shopping, cultural excursions, and adventure are all at your fingertips. Perhaps explore Table Mountain National Park for fantastic views over the city and coastline, or get an adrenaline rush by cage diving with great white sharks. Or, stroll through fashionable Bree Street for lunch at one of the many innovative restaurants Cape Town has to offer.

Day 5
Your safari adventure begins! Enjoy a private transfer to the airport, where you’ll catch a short flight to the Sabi Sands region of Kruger National Park. On arrival, you will be transferred to the heavenly Dulini Leadwood, one of Africa’s most exclusive safari lodges. Dulini speaks of a deeply personal wildlife adventure: the classic safari experience for the sophisticated traveler. Head out on your first game drive this evening and return in time for a spectacular meal in one of the lodge’s unique settings. The chef can even recommend some local, boutique wines that you may have missed on your wine tour.

Day 6 – 8
Enjoy 3 full days on safari in the Sabi Sands, widely considered a top safari destination. The area shares an unfenced border with the famous Kruger National Park, so Big 5 game viewing is superb. The Sabi Sands is especially well known for its abundant leopard. Your safari vehicle will carry a maximum of 6 passengers, and your expert guides will share their wealth of knowledge to unravel the intricate nuances of the African bush.
Game drives take place in the early morning and in the evening, when the wildlife is at its most active. In between game drives, you’ll have plenty of time to relax at the gorgeous lodge, cool off in your private plunge pool, and indulge in delicious cuisine. Walking safaris are also available for a more intimate bush experience. In the evenings, enjoy one-of-a-kind dinners in truly special settings, including an iconic boma dinner.
