Luxury Honeymoon Safari: Kenya

Visit the most remote and romantic safari camps in Kenya, plus a beach paradise, with this Luxury Honeymoon Safari package.

This Luxury Honeymoon Safari was planned for a couple from Boston looking for some romance for their honeymoon, but also a chance to interact with local tribes in Africa and, of course, the wildlife. We sent them to remote and intimate safari camps in Kenya to give them a private, romantic, and authentic bush experience.

They began their Luxury Honeymoon Safari at Joy’s Camp, a secluded boutique camp in Kenya’s Shaba National Reserve. They got their first sighting of African wildlife during a delicious lunch overlooking the camp’s natural spring, which is frequented by elephants, lions, and more. They relaxed in the hot afternoon and watched the sunset in a gorgeous, arid landscape before heading out on a night game drive to see the many nocturnal creatures that call this private reserve home. During the next 2 days at camp, they enjoyed more game drives and a cultural visit to a nomadic Borana village.

Next on their Luxury Honeymoon Safari, they spent a few days at the elegant and romantic Cottar’s Camp in the Maasai Mara. This camp, located on its own 6,000-acre private conservancy with only 10 tents, exudes a classic safari atmosphere and offers absolutely stunning views over the plains to the mountains beyond. During their 3-night stay, they enjoyed day and night game drives and intimate, awe-inspiring bush walks. Not only did they do wonderful wildlife spotting, but they also went into a local Maasai village to meet the wonderfully kind people and experience Africa’s famous hospitality.

Last on their Luxury Honeymoon Safari, they stayed 3 nights at Manda Bay, located on the tropical Lamu Archipelago. They spent their first afternoon lounging in their luxurious, thatched-roof cottage and enjoying exclusive views of the pristine beach. During their stay, they had a fun waterskiing adventure, took a motorboat to see ancient Takwa ruins, and went snorkeling in the colorful reef. They also enjoyed a romantic, delectable seafood dinner on the beach under the stars for a memorable end to their honeymoon.

At last, after this magical trip, they were transferred to the airport to begin their journey home.
